I was so happy today to find out that I’ve been nominated for The Adventurous Blogger Award by Anarya Andir, one of my favorite bloggers. I was especially excited to be nominated for this award because I like to look at everything I do as an adventure, from conquering a mountain to trying a new type of cheese from the supermarket. It’s nice to know that someone out there thinks my stories are as adventurous as I do!

 

As always, there are questions to answer. Here you go!

1. In which country or region would you like your next adventure to be?

I’m hoping to travel to Uganda and Norway this summer, fingers crossed! 

2. Where would you recommend for an adventurous time?

So many places! The Boston Harbor Islands are some of my favorites. You need to go by boat to get there, pirate-style, and each one is a different adventure.

3. Most interesting culture

I can’t pick just one! All cultures are interesting to me, even my own.

4. Favourite activity

Taking in my surroundings.

5. Most dangerous risk taken

I think anytime you put yourself out there honestly is a risk. I hope that I’m taking risks every day.

6. Favourite quotation

Too many to choose from. At the moment I’ve really been enjoying this Ralph Waldo Emerson quote:

To laugh often and much;

To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children;

To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends;

To appreciate beauty, to find the best in others;

To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition;

To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived.

This is to have succeeded.

7. Happiness is… 

being with those you love in the present and taking in every day with a child-like sense of wonder.
