Andorra, where France and Spain meet.

The Principality of Andorra is located between France and Spain. This country is known for its many ski resorts and thermal baths, and can be reached from both France and Spain.

Andorra la Vella.

The city of Andorra la Vella is the principality’s main city. This town is known for its shopping. There are many shopping streets in the city, and the shops are dutyfree. Visitors will be able to buy clothes, shoes and other products, including tobacco. The city has many hotels which have views towards the snow-capped mountains. Visitors will be able to walk around the city and along the rivers of Gran Valira, Valira del Oriente and Valira del Norte.

Visitors who decide to travel to this area will be able to walk around the city center, which has many historical buildings. St. Stephen’s Church is one of the city’s main churches.

La Massana.

In La Massana town visitors will be able to tour several churches, including the churches of Sant Joan, Sant Climent, Sant Cristófol and Santa Victoria. There are many traditional restaurants where visitors will be able to taste local dishes, which have Catalan, French and Spanish influences.

Caldea.

The thermal baths of Caldea are one of the city’s most popular attractions. This spa has several large pools and jacuzzis, an outside pool, an outside jacuzzi, Roman baths, Turkish baths and steam rooms. The outside heated pool is known for its views towards the mountains and valleys.

Ski resorts.

This principality has many ski resorts where visitors will be able to practice cross-country skiing, skiing and snowboarding. There are several types of sloped for beginners and for those used to skiing. In some areas visitors will be able to rent snowmobiles.

In La Massana visitors will find Vallnord, one of the region’s most popular ski resorts. The Pic de Coma Pedrosa, Andorra’s highest point, is located in this area. La Massana parish has several glacial lakes and streams. Vallnord is linked to Arinsal, another ski resort, by a cable car. These ski resorts have several blue, red and black ski slopes. There are half pipes and jumps for snowboarders. Nearby visitors will find two other ski resorts, Pas de la Casa and Soldeu. Pas is located near the French border and, at 2640 meters, is one of the highest resorts in the area. In the nearby Grandvalira ski station visitors will find a large selection of slopes for skiers and snowboarders.

Sordeny Nature Park.

The Sordeny Nature Park is a popular natural attraction located near the town of Ordino. This park offers many activities, including hiking. There is a nature preserve where visitors will be able to see local wildlife.

Another village is La Cortinada, known for its rustic houses, many of which have been converted into rural hotels. Its most famous attraction is the San Marti Church, decorated with many frescoes. There are many restaurants that serve traditional food. In the village of Encamp there are many shops and a car museum, the National Automobile Museum.
